The Tantum Steppe
It was his task and no one else’s. Days turned into weeks as he watched from the hilltop. The beauty of it all was almost distracting, almost. But he remained steadfast in his duty despite the singing sun kissing the distant mountains. He stayed vigilant while the golden rays illuminated the grassy fields of the steppe. Even while the fragrance of sweet grass cooled his skin through gaps in his armor did his responsibility endure. For he knows that on the other side of this grandeur looms a threat. A menace beyond the horizon, which could approach at any given moment.
